The VanNuys Code1 incorporates the know-how accumulated by the VanNuys brand since its founding, resulting in a unique and unparalleled design and structure. It was born with ultimate functionality, ease of use, durability, practicality, and universality as its core concepts. The front pocket uses the German-made Fidlock magnetic closure system. We planned and tested various ways to use Fidlock beyond simply a magnetic buckle, and ultimately decided to use this system for the Code1's new opening and closing mechanism. Furthermore, by devising and adding VanNuys' own unique functionality, we succeeded in incorporating the ability to replace the buckle itself. The Code1 boasts overwhelmingly fast opening and closing speed and the comfort of being able to open and close it with one hand. This functionality brings even more enjoyment, design and expandability to the Code1, leading to its evolution into a bag with distinctive originality.
Even more important is its timeless design and overwhelming versatility, which transcends trends and suits any occasion. Every morning, we face the hassle of choosing a bag to match our outfit and purpose. However, the effort of switching items, and the awkwardness caused by a bag that doesn't suit the place, its size, or its design, are always a source of frustration. Throughout the long development process from conception to completion, Code1 has consistently focused on design to put an end to these frustrations. One of Code1's charms is its "versatility," which is not bound by any place or style. By stripping away unnecessary embellishments and focusing on materials and structure, the design can blend seamlessly into any scene, from formal attire for commuting to relaxed casual styles on weekends.

What is the German-made special magnetic system Fidlock?
Fidlock is a special magnetic buckle system developed by a German company. It automatically aligns using magnetic force and mechanically locks, allowing for quick and easy one-handed attachment and detachment. It is not just a magnet, but a next-generation buckle technology that combines magnetic force and mechanical structure. Its high functionality, including ease of use, safety, and design, is a major feature.
Fidlock is a German company that develops special magnetic buckles using world-patented technology. Fidlock buckles can be attached and detached easily and effortlessly thanks to their unique magnetic mechanism. Their sophisticated design is also attractive and is attracting attention all over the world.

Have you ever felt that attaching and detaching the buckle on a shoulder bag is a hassle? Especially on days when you have a lot of luggage or when one hand is occupied, smooth operation can be difficult. The German-made magnetic buckle "Fidlock" solves this problem.
1. Easy operation for quick attachment anddetachment with one hand
The biggest appeal of Fidlock is that it can be attached and detached with one touch using one hand. The magnet automatically guides the buckle to the correct position and locks it in place. There is almost no hassle like with conventional plug-in or hook-type buckles.

Not only does it adhere with magnets, but the mechanical locking structure makes it difficult to detach with external force. It will not come off even if pulled, and can only be released by sliding or rotating it in a specific direction. Therefore, it can be used with peace of mind even during sports or while traveling.

The unique special feature allows for fine adjustment and replacement of the buckle position.
Instead of simply sewing on the Fidlock buckle, we've opted for a Velcro fastening system that allows for easy attachment and removal. While
this requires several times more effort during production than just sewing, this structure allows for the buckle to be swapped with other designs
and enables fine-tuning of the attachment position.
Furthermore, the horizontal size of the Velcro attached to the Fidlock and the Velcro attached to the bag body are slightly different. This is to
accommodate fine adjustments and prevent the Velcro on the bag from being visible from the outside when adjustments are made. This allows
for a delicate and flexible response to those subtle preferences. Code1 can accommodate Fidlock buckles in colors other than black without requiring
you to buy a new bag. In addition to Japan, we also offer a variety of Fidlock colors in Korea and other overseas markets.
The Fidlock uses Velcro for attachment.Please press it firmly into place.
The design makes it difficult to detach in the vertical direction. When force is applied in the vertical direction, the point where the force is applied is shifted slightly towards the center
rather than at the edge of the Velcro, thus providing resistance to the force. To withstand lateral forces, the Velcro is sewn in place to create guides that pass through from side to side
during attachment. These guides are located at the upper and lower Fidlock attachment points.
Thread the cord through the guides that run through both sides, and then secure the Fidlock further with the stopper. The excess cord can be stored in the mounting area of
the Fidlock. Adding this fastening method makes it more resistant to lateral forces, preventing it from easily coming loose and falling.

Since its founding, VanNuys has used 1050 denier ballistic nylon, a military-grade material used in the United States and other countries for the outer material of bulletproof vests.
More recently, by using thicker threads than the 1050 denier ballistic nylon, we have further enhanced the material's strength, abrasion resistance, and durability with
1680 denier ballistic nylon. The numerous uses of ballistic nylon, such as its use as the outer material of bulletproof vests, are proof of its durability.
Ballistic nylon has a proven track record of being used as the outer material for bulletproof vests and other applications, which is a testament to its durability. (Mil-Spec refers to
the general term for standards used to procure supplies required by the U.S. military. Only products that can perform at 100% in polar regions, desert areas, and tropical rainforests
are selected, resulting in extremely tough and functional items.)

This series features a large front pocket. This pocket is the most important feature of the Code1A-01 series and greatly contributes to both its design and functionality.
The interior features a large zippered pocket.This pocket is convenient for storing important items or things you don't want others to see.

The interior is equipped with a ring, which is convenient for hanging keys or other items using a carabiner. The back of the bag has different specifications depending on the size, and is equipped with D-rings that allow for appropriate use of shoulder straps and other accessories, depending on the intended use for each size .
This is the most versatile optional accessory custom part. It has a surprisingly large storage capacity for relatively thin items such as smartphones and glasses, as well as 500ml water bottles and small umbrellas, which you wouldn't expect from the main unit's appearance. Simply attaching it makes it very useful for temporary storage when needed.

It can also be used as a backpack by using two D-shape rings. The rings on the handle section are double-attached, so it can be carried on your backeven with the optional
plant-tanned leather handle attached. The front double pockets feature a substantial large-sized Fidlock.

Never bring Fidlock near items that are susceptible to magnetic fields, such as credit cards, magnetic commuter passes, magnetic cards, general magnetic accessories, mechanical watches, and precision instruments that are sensitive to magnetism, as well as some electronic devices and sensors.
Because Fidlock uses magnets, do not place it near magnetically sensitive items when using or storing it. Do not bring it too close to magnetic cards or some precision instruments.
